FR: Custom DNS records (like custom HTTP records)

We have custom HTTP records which is a great feature when it comes to personalising a hosting environment for a domain.

I wish we could do the same for DNS.
That would allow admins to add strict rules for some domains while the defaults could be more relaxed.

Specifics please. What kind of records do you want added that DirectAdmin doesn't already allow you to add?

DA can rewrite some DNS records on some occasion, if I'm not mistaken, meaning that custom changes would be lost.

I should build a test case to see what happens, but I'm trying to protect TXT entries.

I've never experienced custom changes being lost, but I've never experimented with TXT fields; let us know what you find.
