Multiple Server Set-Up

I am new to DA servers, and have been experimenting with this for several days. I have 3 servers: 2 application servers, each a name server, and 1 database server. All three have DirectAdmin installed. They are each currently set-up like this:

server1-application ip1 ID1.domain.com Nameserver1
server2-application ip2 ID2.domain.com Nameserver2
server3-database ip3 ID3.domain.com

Do I need to add the hostname/IP of server2 to server1 and those of server1 to server2's Multiple Server Set-Up page?

Does the database server3 need to be "connected" to servers1 & 2 by adding both their hostnames/IPs to its Multiple Server Set-Up page?

If I need to add the hostnames/IPs, are the default records sufficient or do I need to add more records, like CNAME?

Thanks so much for any insight.

Directadmin is not meant to be a multiserver environment only the dns can propagate to the additional servers.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly?
Do you want to set up nameservers for your domain(s) or are you trying something else?
